Vicci Martinez
As it turns out, young Vicci was something of a veteran musician. She began playing violin at 5 years of age and continued with private lessons for six years. At 13, she taught herself to play guitar with the help of an old Beatles songbook her father had given her. By the age of 18, she had released three CDs composed and arranged by her, including "Sleep to Dream", produced by Paul Speer Vicci won a slew of awards as a teenage performer, including a run to the semi-finals of Star Search. Now a young adult, she has formed a top notch band that has quickly become a Northwest favorite and is poised for the national spotlight. Vicci's energy and charisma are easily evident in her lively performances and contribute to the growing audiences she draws throughout the Northwest. From her solo acoustic coffeehouse sets to her electrifying performances at festivals and nightclubs with her full band, this young woman is already a skilled entertainer. Vicci's enthusiasm and energy will breathe fresh air into any festival or folk venue. While she has a much needed youth appeal, she doesn't scare the grownups, and in fact, the older folks line up right along with the kids to buy her cds at the end of the show. With remarkable poise and professionalism for someone her age, Vicci Martinez has her eyes set straight ahead on what is bound to be a fascinating future.
